The Šimun Emanuel Putovanja (“Šimun Emanuel Travels”) website, originally built in 2015 using WordPress and the “Altair” theme, was designed to handle a large volume of images and frequent content updates. However, as the original development team dispersed, maintaining and updating the website became challenging.
My involvement began during a pilgrimage with the company owner, where I offered my expertise to optimize the website’s performance. Despite being hindered by large video files and shared hosting limitations, I worked to improve loading speeds and overall user experience.
In late April 2021, I undertook a complete website redesign using Elementor. This allowed for a more modern and streamlined design while retaining the functionality required for showcasing tours and managing image-heavy content.
