The Cursillo Europe – GECC Web Site was designed and developed as a portfolio showcase for the international Catholic Cursillo network in Europe. Its key functions include listing all participating countries, local contacts, and detailing the work of the current organization’s Secretariat (currently based in Hungary).
The main challenge involved coordinating content collection from various contacts across multiple European nations. I collaborated closely with a central contact person to determine the necessary content and the Secretariat’s long-term digital strategy.
The choice of platform was WordPress, self-hosted on a VPS, to ensure a reliable, flexible environment for rapid development and extensive future customization.
The focus was on delivering a solid homepage and two complex interactive features: the Prayer Chain and Prayer Requests pages. These pages were built to be fully anonymous, integrating a Contact Form and an offline Calendar while ensuring full GDPR compliance with anti-spam/bot checks.
Beyond the initial setup, I continue to provide ongoing support for the Cursillo Europe – GECC Web Site, managing regular post updates and performing system maintenance to ensure the platform remains current with the latest security measures.
