In late January and early February of 2025, I started work on the Savio (savio.hr) website — a project focused on building a fresh digital home for a center dedicated to education and creative events in Zaprešić.
The site was developed on WordPress, using the “Eduma” theme as a foundation. For design flexibility and a tailored visual experience, I customized one of Eduma’s templates with Elementor, combining both Elementor Pro and ThimElementor features to achieve the desired look and feel.
To streamline content management, especially for Savio’s educational programs, I introduced a custom post type “Poduka” (“Education”) using the Advanced Custom Post Types plugin. This setup enables the team to easily add and edit offerings without technical hurdles.
Basic SEO optimization and GDPR compliance were implemented from the outset. I’m also providing ongoing maintenance and will train the Savio staff to handle minor content updates on their own—so they’re not dependent on external help for every change.
Despite the usual challenges of content gathering and coordination, the result is a modern, easy-to-use website that supports Savio’s mission and gives the team the tools they need to keep their content fresh
